The following universities and colleges

Allocation of Seats: 50%
of the seats are general or free seats, 45% are payment seats and
5% are for NRIs or NRI sponsored seats.
Eligibility: Candidates must pass the 10+2
examination of HP Board of School Education or an equivalent examination
with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English for General Seats. The
candidate must obtain 60% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible
for Payment or NRI seats.
Domicile: The following are considered domiciled
(i) Candidates should have passed/appeared in the qualifying exam
from the schools located in Himachal Pradesh (ii) Any State for
children/wards of (a) employees of Himachal Government/ Boards/
Corporation/ Autonomous bodies (b) Bona fide residents of Himachal
Pradesh.
Admission: For General Seats, admission is
on the basis of merit in CPET(Combined Pre-Entrance Test) conducted
by REC Hamirpur, HP University. Candidates who fulfil the minimum
eligibility conditions may apply to the college directly for Payment
Seats.
Application Procedure: Application form with
brochure for CPET can be obtained from Regional Engineering College,
Hamirpur 177 005 on cash payment of Rs. 150 or by post on payment
of Rs. 165 through IPO/ Bank Draft favouring "Deputy Registrar (Accts),
REC Hamirpur". Completed application with the requisite test fee
should reach the Controller of Examinations, REC Hamirpur by the
notified date.
Fees: The tuition fee for General Seats is
Rs. 10,000 pa, Rs. 65,000 pa for Payment Seats and Rs. 1,75,000
pa for NRIs.
