Examination period is a very stressful
time for most students. However, students can overcome stress
by planning and scheduling for the exams in advance. This
section provides counselling to help students feel relaxed
and focused during the examinations. Enrolled
members will have access to substantial content on 'Counselling'
and interaction with the counsellor.

London, is the Director of CREST- Center for Research Education
Service and Training, which has been established to provide
family and community therapy, vocational training and rehabilitation.

A medical doctor who specialised
in Community Medicine in India and UK, her special interest
is in family, youth counselling and women's health. She has
lectured and trained persons in Adolescent Counselling in
Thailand, Japan, Sri Lanka, Singapore and throughout India.
She was awarded a British Council
Senior Fellowship to study Medical and Social Demography ('73-'74)
under Professor Bill Brass in London University and as a result
the valuable monograph 'Population Education for Quality of
Life' (2nd Edition) was published.
She participated in both UN Population
Conferences in Bucharest ('74) and in Mexico ('84) and in
the UN Women's Conference in Copenhagen and Nairobi. She was
invited to the Synod on the Family in Rome ('80) and served
for 5 years on the Pontifical Council for the Family. She
is also a consultant to WHO and directs a Government of India
programme on 'Counselling Youth', AIDS Education Prevention
and Family Counselling.
She has written a number of books
which include 'Family Life and Value Education' (5th
Edition), 'Counselling Youth' (6th Edition) and
'Population Education for Quality of Life' (2nd
Edition) She has published several papers in India and abroad
on youth. She was Professor of Community Medicine in St. John's
Medical College and an examiner for Bangalore and Madras Universities.
She has directed training programmes in 5 continents.
Dr. Mascarenhas was given the
Rotary Award for Professional Excellence in 1990, 1993 and
1996, the Sophia College Golden Jubilee Award in 1991 for
her work 'Celebrating Life and Women's Education' and the
Asian Women's Award for her books and work in Houston, Texas,
USA in 1993. She is a founder member on the board of directors
on the International Federation for Right to Life.
